Fill in Deep Facial Lines with Restylane

The effects of aging are varied, but they tend to be fairly easy to see. Faces develop lines and wrinkles that start as hard to notice, and turn into deep lines that can make any skin appear decades older than it actually is.

Restoring these lines has traditionally been a painful process requiring surgery, extensive recovery and a considerable amount of worry while the skin heals. Undesirable side effects, such as scarring and extra tightness in certain parts of the skin, have been unavoidable with these procedures.

Dermal fillers, a non-invasive alternative to surgery, have had a difficult time treating deeper lines and wrinkles in the face. Restylane® represents one of the more durable dermal fillers, as it can effectively treat deep lines and wrinkles without the need for additional treatments.

What Makes Restylane® Different?

Dermal fillers have traditionally utilized everything from synthetic plastics to fat cells. While this has allowed them to restore mild to moderate cases of age and sun-related damage to the form of the face, these treatments have had limited results with deeper lines and wrinkles.

Restylane® is different because of the main ingredient it uses, which is hyaluronic acid. This natural chemical works to fill areas where collagen has become displaced. The molecules bind to nearby collagen, and draw water to them to provide a natural look and feel.

The nature of hyaluronic acid allows it to provide rejuvenations that last between 6 to 12 months on average. When compared to other dermal fillers approved for use in deep lines and wrinkles, this is between double to triple the average duration of treatment.

Why Can Restylane® Offer Better Results?

Restylane® is one of the most durable and reliable types of dermal fillers. This allows it to bring the ease and convenience of dermal fillers while producing more natural results. Unlike other non-invasive treatments, the results from Restylane® are immediate. You will see an improvement immediately following your first treatment.

The other reason it can offer better results resides in the way that it can improve the deep lines and wrinkles on a face without producing unwanted side effects like scarring.

What Type of Patients Benefit the Most from Restylane®?

Most people are ideal candidates for Restylane® treatments. This means patients with moderate to severe lines and wrinkles may benefit from receiving this treatment. Patients who may not be ideal candidates for surgery may be ideal candidates for Restylane® treatments. The non-invasive nature of the treatments allows them to receive facial rejuvenation without a notable risk of infection or scarring.
