Liposuction

You’ve done it all!

Diet, exercise, Pilates, Paleo – those problem areas – tummy, thighs and upper arms are just not responding.

It’s not you!

Even the most health conscious people struggle with their weight due to localized fat deposits that create those unattractive bulges.

Liposuction Fort Lauderdale reshapes the body by surgically removing unwanted excess fat through small incisions. It’s used to create a smoother, slimmer profile by removing fat. However it’s not effective for cellulite, the dimpled condition found in the buttocks, hips and backs of thighs or in situations where removing excess skin is necessary.

Every individual struggles with their own problem area. Liposuction Fort Lauderdale is designed to remove excess fat in areas such as:

  • Lower stomach & waist line – the dreaded pooch and love handles.
  • Inner & outer thighs
  • Hips & buttocks
  • Inner knee
  • Upper arms
  • Back
  • Chest
  • Neck, jowls and under the chin
  • Calves and ankles

So what actually happens?

Our liposuction procedures are performed in our state-of-the-art surgical suites under either general or local anesthesia, depending on the area being treated.

What about after surgery?

You will experience some minor discomfort, bruising and swelling. It’s also natural to experience swelling and fluid retention in the area that has been treated. The swelling may take a period of weeks to fully subside. To minimize swelling and help the skin contract, patients wear a compression garment for a month after surgery.

Risks and Possible Complications

Our doctors will review all possible complications any limitations you may have post-op and answer all of your questions ahead of surgery.
Risks of liposuction include poor or uneven contour, rippled or saggy skin, irregular skin pigmentation, skin or nerve damage, or excess scarring.
More severe complications are rare when liposuction is performed safely but do include, blood or fat clots, severe bleeding, organ damage and cardiac and pulmonary complications.

You’ll love the Lasting Results

Liposuction destroys fat cells – permanently. They will not grow back. However, it’s not a total miracle – they can be replaced by a substantial weight gain. Liposuction is not a substitute for a reasonable diet and regular exercise. Living a healthier lifestyles and maintaining a steady weight will help retain the effects of fat loss from liposuction for a long period of time.
